The Fashion for Good Museum is an interactive fashion museum for the future of fashion, where we tell the stories behind the clothes you wear and how your choices can have a positive impact on people and our planet.

About the Internship

We are looking for an enthusiastic event intern with an eye for detail and good organisational skills. During this internship you will look at sustainable fashion from an events perspective and think about catchy concepts. You will, among other things, participate in the organisation of events (Museumnacht, exhibition openings, clothing swaps, panel talks, workshops), coordinate planning and communicate with suppliers and partners. You will also help with the rental of the monumental event spaces in the Fashion for Good Museum at Rokin 102 in Amsterdam

Tasks

Support before and during events
Collecting/maintaining promotional communications about events
Research potential partners and suppliers
Maintaining the guest lists and database
Coordination of planning and administrative tasks

You are a good fit if you..

Can effectively communicate with different groups and cultures
Are a creative, confident and friendly individual
Are a strong team player but also have the ability to work independently
Take a planned approach and have a hands-on mentality
Have an interest in fashion and sustainability
Are flexible, especially in busy periods
Are available for a minimum of 5 months, 4 days a week

Education

You must currently be enrolled at a college or university in a relevant field such as event management, hospitality, communications, management or marketing.

Over Fashion for Good

Stichting Fashion for Good, met ANBI-status, heeft in oktober 2018 zijn deuren geopend als interactief modemuseum en richt zich op de toekomst van fashion. Het museum vertelt de verhalen achter de kleren die je draagt en hoe je met de juiste keuzes voor die kleren een positieve impact kan hebben op de mode-industrie. Fashion for Good gelooft dat de mode-industrie kan én moet veranderen, en helpt daarom om de juiste kennis hierover te verspreiden. Een must-visit voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in mode, duurzaamheid of innovatie.

Fashion for Good zet zich niet alleen in als changemaker met het museum, maar brengt ook de mode-industrie samen via hun Innovatieplatform. Dit platform brengt innovatieve oplossingen - vaak start-ups - samen met internationale kledingmerken en fabrikanten om zo nieuwe technologieën en bedrijfsmodellen te stimuleren en op te schalen om zo de industrie te veranderen.

Het Museum wordt ondersteund door de Laudes Foundation als initiator en ontvangt ook steun van VSBfonds, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, het Kickstart Cultuurfonds, het Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie en de Europese Unie via het Allthings.bioPRO project, onderdeel van het onderzoek- en innovatieprogramma Horizon 2020. Het Fashion for Good Museum is officieel geregistreerd bij het Museumregister en de Museumvereniging en is gratis te bezoeken met een Museumkaart.
