At Fashion for Good we're looking for a HR Manager to join our team.

Full-time / Part-time · Amsterdam

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

Within a short time frame of less than 5 years, Fashion for Good has established itself as the go-to platform for sustainable fashion innovation on a global level. Fashion for Good currently consists of approximately 40 colleagues located in 3 countries. 

We seek an HR Manager (HRM) who will be responsible for the delivery of all HR services to the organisation on transactional, expertise and strategic level to enable the organisation’s mission, vision and strategy. The HRM acts as the trusted advisor to the MD on strategic and tactical people topics, provides proactive HR advisory services to people managers and employees and leads on design and implementation of strategic and tactical people plans.

A willingness to operate in a dynamic fast paced environment is a must. 

To apply for this position, you must have the right to work in the Netherlands and be willing to relocate or already living in the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities include

  • People Plans. You are identifying opportunities and are inputting into the people plans and people strategies which are enabling the organisational goals, vision and mission.

  • Cyclical HR processes. You will lead on annual HR processes to ensure these run efficiently and add value to the organisation. This includes Performance Management, Annual salary Review process, Employee engagement survey.
  • Talent acquisition and talent development – support in or leading on processes to attract and hiring talent. In addition, leading on the learning and development plans for the organisation.
  • Partner with people managers. The HRM supports the people managers so they can enable their teams to be at their best. You will coach, advise and enable them to be effective across all areas of the HR value chain. This includes but is not limited to employee engagement, team effectiveness, performance and talent management and individual employee cases.
  • Trusted advisor. Providing (pro-active) advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, career and development to employees.
  • HR Projects and continuous improvements. The HRM is constantly reviewing and improving our HR services, processes and products to ensure we are as effective and efficient as we can be around all HR topics: Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Performance and Talent Management and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • HR policies, processes and procedures - Ensuring they are up to date, compliant, explained well and always reviewed for potential improvements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, pro-active attitude. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as an HR Generalist or 3 years as an HR Manager or Advisor with direct exposure to supporting people managers and employees.
  • Demonstrated experience in (co)designing and/or implementing solutions in an organisation HR expertise areas (e.g. in L&D, Project Management, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience in being exposed/having visibility of end-to-end HR services for a team or business area.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Problem solving with the ability for sound judgement and accountability
  • Proven attention to detail without losing sight of bigger picture
  • Pro-activeness, enthusiasm, can-do attitude, comfort in dealing with a variety of responsibilities and ambiguity
  • Adaptive to change and able to quickly switch between strategic and operational activities.
  • Proven Project management/implementation skills
  • Capacity to adapt to different settings, easily navigating different cultures and organisation settings
  • Experience in a start-up / scale-up environment is a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other relevant field.

Languages

Proficiency in English is a requirement.

Employment & Salary Indication

The role is available for a permanent hire (1-year contract with option to extend), 40 hours per week, with salary based on experience and qualifications.
