About the job

Fashion for Good seeks an Innovation Intern who will be responsible for supporting the scaling of innovation. The role will support across the Innovation Platform, with a focus on Processing (pre-treatment, dyeing and finishing of textiles).

The role will include the following activities/responsibilities:

  • Work closely with subject matter experts across the Innovation Platform to deepen knowledge and understanding of key focus areas
  • Where relevant, support innovation leads with projects/pilots that further validate innovators technologies
  • Develop research and identify resources to comprehensively outline and update relevant legislation and policy impacting scaling innovation in the textiles industry
  • Assist in general Innovation Platform activities (including operations and day to day business activities)
  • Support in note taking and transcribing calls and share the findings and recommendations for follow up action. These interactions should be recorded in relevant tools (ex: airtable, landscape reports, etc)

This position reports to the Innovation Manager (Processing & Impact)

About you

The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, proactive attitude.

The following skills/knowledge are essential:

  • A good understanding of the supply chain & the fashion industry
  • Knowledge of textile chemistry (e.g. treatment, dyestuff processes)
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
  • Strong Google slides, Google sheets and presentation skills
  • Capacity to adapt to different settings and to work in a demanding and multicultural environment
  • Proactive with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker with the ability for sound judgement and accountability
  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude and comfortable dealing with uncertainty

Education

Academic degree (Bachelor (HBO), or Masters) preferably within material science, chemistry or textile engineering. 

Language

Proficiency in English is a requirement.
