Innovation Platform Technical Intern
Fashion for Good seeks an Technical Innovation Intern who will be responsible for supporting the scaling of innovation. The role will support across the Innovation Platform, with a focus on Footwear (material innovation, sorting and dissassembly) and End of Use (chemical and mechnical recycling).
The role will include the following activities/responsibilities:
Execute in depth due diligence with a focus on the scientific and technical feasibility of the innovation.
Map and update the landscape of innovations to further strengthen our scouting in selected focus areas.
Scout start-up innovators to further strengthen our innovator database in selected focus areas
Assist the team in the creation of the Innovator deliverables (i.e. technical feasibility, impact analysis, project management, etc.)
Write reports describing findings and recommendations for follow up action.
Work closely with subject matter experts in the Innovation Platform to deepen knowledge and understanding of key focus areas
Assist in general Innovation Platform activities (including operations and day to day business activities)
Project management and operational support of various projects within the team
Provide analytical support to ongoing projects specifically relating to technical and impcat analysis
This position reports to the Innovation Manager.
The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, proactive attitude.

Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Knowledge of textile or footwear processes and recycling is desired
A good understanding of the supply chain & the fashion industry
Strong Google slides, Google sheets and presentation skills
Capacity to adapt to different settings and to work in a demanding and multicultural environment
A pro-active, enthusiastic, can-do attitude and comfortable dealing with uncertainty
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The following experience is a plus: relevant work in chemical engineering, material science or textile chemistry.
Education
Academic degree (Bachelor (HBO/BA/BSc), or Masters) within chemical engineering, material science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, textile engineering or biotechnology. Please note that all our internships require that you are enrolled in tertiary study for the duration of the internship.
Language
Proficiency in English is a requirement.
